Brunello Montalcino 2004
An old-style Brunello. The choice on this wine left us a bit intrigued. We didn't find a powerful red wine, but rather a subdued scented specimen that recalled us the old-style Brunello. Pleasant spicy feelings in the opening bouquet, followed by the typical Sangiovese afterthoughts.

Description
Opens slowly emphasizing red fruit with floral embroidery of the undergrowth of dried roses and violets. You can see traces of humus and fragrant mushrooms and feelings of china, rhubarb and ginger in the background. Brilliance of medicinal herbs. Nice stretch. Mouth tension with attractive mineral flavours. Intense and of medium length. Refined to perfection. Measured momentum of mild acid and tannin flavour, thin and of medium thickness. Very good wine.
